A look ahead to ‘No Tomorrow Festival’

I’m so excited for the brand new No Tomorrow Festival this weekend!

What a stellar line-up of really fresh acts we have coming to perform in one of Nottingham’s most beautiful settings; Wollaton Park (the garden of none other than Batman’s home!)!

London Grammar
This ‘Nottingham original’ (as I’m going to claim them anyway) are just mesmerising. The whole ‘If You Wait’ album is an absolute triumph. The latest single to be taken from it, ‘Sights’, is just another great song.

Sam Smith
This pick is the easiest one by far. The coming together of Sam Smith and Mary J. Blige¬†for this version of Sam’s latest single ‘Stay With Me’, is one of the most beautiful things I’ve heard for a long, long time. Lap this up!

Clean Bandit
There is no other act like Clean Bandit, past or present. Simple as that. I truly hope the incredible record that they’ve created in ‘New Eyes’, in collaboration with some ridiculously exciting vocalists and producers, translates well to not just a stage, but to a festival stage. It’ll certainly be interesting, and I very much doubt a disappointment!

Duke Dumont
The weather is forecast to be absolutely pants on Saturday, from start to finish, but I have no doubt that when the Duke drops this song, everyone will be transported to a magical, tropical island, and I can’t bloomin’ wait to lose myself to it!

A Nottinghamshire lady that I’ve somehow not been lucky enough to experience live yet, but I’ve read and heard a lot of hype about her, so I’m very excited to finally see (and hopefully have a chat with) her over the weekend. (Played this remix on Capital XTRA recently and ohhh, it sounds BIG!)

Jess Glynne
So here’s what I know about Jess Glynne so far… She featured on Clean Bandit‘s debut single ‘Rather Be’ which successfully achieved WORLD DOMINATION. Then she featured on Route 94‘s debut single which came pretty close to successfully overthrowing Clean Bandit‘s spell of WORLD DOMINATION. Now, she’s releasing her own stuff and I think it’s quite likely that she’ll do all of the above all over again. What. A. Voice. Wow!

(It kind of speaks volumes that Jess only has four tracks on her Soundcloud page and they are: ‘Rather Be’, ‘My Love’ and then her two songs ‘Home’ and ‘Right Here’, don’t you think?)
